My name is Lainie Hanlon, and I am a Portrait Artist and farmer based out of Southwestern Ontario, Canada. I shoot mainly Child Fine Art Portraits and creative portraits when I have spare time.
I first started following Richard in November 2018 where I purchased his “Creative Portrait Series”. This really opened my eyes on creating my own art and bringing my own visions to life. As a creator I always found it hard to pull my thoughts and ideas together to create the image I had envisioned. Since watching Richard’s videos I have created a workflow that really helps! First, I draft out a ‘vision’ board where I sketch the idea out showcasing the elements I want to include in the image. I then plan out my execution of shooting each element needed and formulating a plan; then I take each step to create my vision! If I get stuck, Richard’s videos are an old faithful where I can find the answers I need!
I then purchased Richard’s latest “Painterly Portraits” which also help me tremendously when I switched to shooting Child Fine Art full time! His lighting and editing tutorials have helped tremendously and I can see with my own eyes that my work gets better and better with every session I finish. Thank you, Richard, for your amazing content. I cannot see what you come up with next!
